I beg to report further damage sustained by the Kail-

way due to aerial attack by enemy planes :-

9TH DECEMBER.

TU TONG. At about 8.50 hours 5 enemy planes attacked the

Railway and dropped 15 bomba between Km. 90/6 and 90/7. 1 bomb

hit the centre of the track in front of the station and at the

rear of the No. 5 Down Local Traân; all the window glass of the

coaches were broken through explosion of the bomb.

Between 18.30 and 14.00 hours 2 enemy planes

raided the mailway. 4

bombs were dropped between Km. 117/4 and

Km. 117/16, damaging 5 rails and derailing Medium Sided Bagon

No. 494. Engine of No. 8 Through slow Train was also damaged by

splintera.

SHEUNG PING. Between 14.30 and 17.15 hours the sailway was

attacked by 5 enemy planes. 18 bomba were dropped at Km. 84/17

danaging 2 rails, and the engine and rolling stock of No. 1 Mix

Goods Through Train. Engine of No. 5 Down Express Train vaa

machine gunned at Wang Lik and damaged.

Repair work was immediately carried out.

1178 DECAMBEK.

TONG TOU MA TIE TONG WAI. Between 8.50 and 9.30 hours

5 enemy planes attacked the Railway and dropped 4 bombs near

the Ton Tou Ha Siding damaging the Breakdown Yan of the
